Not too long ago, I was invited by one of my newly acquainted Japanese friends to a very popular and beautiful rose garden here in Tokyo. To get there, take JR Yamanote line to Komagome station,
then it’s a 15-minute walk up north. Aside from the roses, the other half is a traditional
Japanese garden, and there’s also an old Western style building (built 1917)
located within the premises.

If you are interested in botanics or just want a relaxing walk while eating a rose-flavour icecream,
this is a place worth checking out. Entrance fee is only 150 yen, opening hours 9-17.
