KAI Co., Ltd., (hereinafter referred to as ‘KAI’) respects the privacy of our students and recognizes that carefully protecting personal information regarding customers is a heavy commitment, and acts in accordance with the following stance with regard to the handling of personal information.
Compliance with Laws and Regulations Relating to the Protection of Personal Information
KAI shall comply with laws and other regulations relating to the protection of personal information and shall handle personal information appropriately.
Acquisition of Personal Information
When obtaining personal information KAI shall endeavor to clarify the intended use and shall obtain personal information using appropriate and fair means.
Use of Personal Information
‘Personal Information’ referred to in this privacy policy shall mean that information pertaining to an individual which enables that particular individual to be identified such as their name, date of birth, telephone number, address, email address etc. Information provided to KAI shall be used by KAI for the following purpose.
- To provide information relating to courses and school events or related information.
- To send out education materials
- To introduce Kai’s services and products etc
- Other (to analyze Web access situation, etc)
Personal information shall comply with the Personal Information Protection Act and other related laws and regulations and information shall be obtained through appropriate methods.
Third Party Provision of Personal Information
Unless otherwise provided for in laws and regulations, KAI shall not supply personal information to any third party without the prior agreement of the individual concerned.
Management of Personal Information
KAI shall maintain the accuracy and up-to-dateness of personal information and shall implement the necessary and appropriate information security measures in order for the safe management of information and in order to protect against the loss, alteration or divulgence of personal information. When obtaining personal information through KAI’s website, KAI shall provide against unauthorized access by third parties during the communication process and shall encrypt personal information or apply other similar security techniques.
Disclosure, Amendment, Suspension of Use, Erasure of Personal Information
In the event of receiving a request from a customer to disclose, amend, suspend usage or erase their personal information, KAI, having confirmed that the request is from the individual themselves, shall comply with such request within a reasonable time period in accordance the provisions of the law.
1) Handling disclosure
Requests may be made to disclose one’s own personal information held by KAI. Such requests may only be made to KAI’s contact desk and shall be dispatched in writing by post as soon as the request has been processed. Approximately four weeks are required from the time a request is made until the request is dispatched by post. A processing fee shall be charged in relation to the disclosure of information.
2) Handling of amendments and suspension of use
When necessary requests may be made to amend, suspend use or erase one’s own personal information held by KAI. Such requests may be made to KAI’s contact desk or by telephone and shall be processed immediately. Approximately four weeks are required from the time a request for the amendment, suspension of use or erasure is made until the request is processed.
Organization, Structure, Training
- KAI shall undertake the appropriate management of personal information used in the course of our work and shall create a structure in order to implement the appropriate handling of personal information in the course of our work.
- KAI shall undertake training and awareness activities aimed at employees in order to fully enforce this personal information protection policy.
Amendments to the Personal Information Protection Policy (Privacy Policy)
KAI shall make amendments to the personal information protection policy as necessary in order to protect personal information or in order to respond to changes in the law or other regulations.
Cookie Information
KAI may forward cookie information regarding customers in order to make KAI’s website even more user friendly for customers. Cookies are a function in which a web server stores a very small amount of earmarked data on the customer’s hard disk. Such cookies are used on certain pages and reuse data which has already been inputted, making the customer’s operations simpler. KAI’s website uses cookie information but does not infringe on our customer’s privacy. Further, we do not disclose information obtained by cookies to any third party.
