The Live Online Conversation Course is a course learners can learn online twice a week (1.5 hours each time). The course is offered at two different times of the day to make it easy for you to join from abroad. Of course, people living in Japan are also welcome to join it.
All classes are held online using Zoom. You can take classes from the comfort of your own home or other locations. In addition, you don’t have to commute to school, so you can use your time more efficiently.
The goal of the Live Online Conversation Course is to help students expand their own communication space and become richer and more independent in their lives in Japan like the face-to-face Practical Conversation Course. In order to achieve this goal, the course aims to improve your Japanese language skills with a focus on conversation skills, and there will be a lot of conversation practice in class.
We will use our original teaching materials in the class. This textbook is also used in the Practical Conversation Course, and is based on situations that learners may encounter in Japan. Therefore, those in Japan can immediately apply what they have learned to their daily lives, and those who are planning to come to Japan for business or for travel can prepare for life in Japan in advance.
Since the course uses the same material as the Practical Conversation Course, when you have more time, you can switch to the Practical Conversation Course for more intensive study.

Levels
The Live Online Conversation Course is offered at the upper beginner to intermediate level. It corresponds to the level 2 to 5 of the Practical Conversation course.
Level 2 – To Enjoy Life in Tokyo –
In this level, students learn Japanese communication skills that will make their life in Tokyo more comfortable. They learn conversations to make the quality of life in Japan higher The topics include inviting friends for concerts and asking for explanations of dish, etc.
Japanese level: JLPT N5 to N4 (listening level)
Level 3 – To Talk with People –
In this level, students learn Japanese communication skills so that they can talk appropriately depending on the situations and people to talk with. The situations include talking with Japanese friends and people they meet on a trip, etc.
Japanese level: JLPT N4 (listening level)
Level 4 – To Talk about My Thoughts –
In this level, students learn to express their ideas, opinions or feelings about various topics of daily life. They also learn to broaden the conversation so that they can explain the situation and to make a proposal.
Japanese level: JLPT N4 to N3 (listening level). Able to read hiragana and katakana.
Level 5 – To Have a Better Conversation –
In this level, students learn to build smooth personal relationships using Japanese. They practice to understand the feelings and situations hidden in the context of the conversation for deeper communication. And they learn the expressions to make the other person understand including their feelings and situations.
Japanese level: JLPT N3 (listening level). Able to read hiragana and katakana.
Schedule
The deadline for registration is two weeks before the desired course start date. Students can be enrolled after the application deadline only when there is a vacancy.

Enroll procedure
- Please fill in the online application form and send it to us.
- We will email you the URL of our level check test. Complete the test within 30 min after you start.
- After confirming the result of your online level check test, we’ll have an interview on Zoom.
- We’ll let you know the most suitable class for you and the fee based on the results of the online level check test and interview.
- Send the fee to us in one payment.
- On confirmation of your payment, your seat will be reserved.
